History Established in 2006 Dr. Linden earned her veterinarian degree at Tufts Veterinary School and has been a long time resident of Providence for 20 years, having stayed put after getting her undergraduate degree at Brown University. She left a shared practice with four other veterinarians in Norton, Mass. to fulfill her lifelong dream of opening her own practice. She bought the PRAH building in 2003 when the owners of Aramis jewelry business put its factory building on the market. The location is in the heart of the Jewelry District and is two doors up from Olga’s Cup and Saucer, a popular cafe. Providence River Animal Hospital lies in a new, fully integrated urban neighborhood at the junction of numerous Providence communities. The renovation, which took a year, completely transformed the space of a jewelry factory into the state of the art facility that is Providence River Animal Hospital today. Meet the Business Owner:
Jane L. JANE LINDEN, DVM graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. Upon graduation she completed an additional year of intensive training know as an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Rowley Animal Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts. Dr. Linden worked in private practice for 5 years after her internship and finally fulfilled her dream of opening her own veterinary hospital in Providence. In addition to her veterinary education, Dr. Linden received her Bachelors degree from Brown University as well as a Masters in Social Work from Boston University. She lives in Providence with her family, including 4 dogs and 3 cats.
